This one day workshop will focus on recognition and elimination of hazards around construction sites and protecting employees by the use of shielding, shoring, and sloping. Also covered will be the duties of the competent person, evaluation of soil conditions, barricades, the design of protective systems, means of egress, fall protection, and hazardous conditions such as water, vibrations, protection from mobile equipment, spoil piles, and toxis fumes. A certificate will be issued following successful completion of the course.
